Contingent Labor Growth Reported by SIA

Since the last recession ended in 2009, companies have increased the share of their workforce that is made up by contingent labor. In our 2012 Contingent Buyers Survey, specific to North American companies with 1,000 or more employees, the average share was 16 percent, surpassing last year’s peak of 15 percent. The average share in 2009 was 12 percent.
